Why We Love Prose
Your health is their priority.
Nail aficionados will notice something that’s not on their menu, and that’s acrylic services. Prose doesn’t use acrylics “because the ingredients found within acrylics are harsh and cause more damage to your natural nails. With each acrylic set, your nails become more thin, sensitive, and fragile over time.” Not to worry, they’ve got the perfect alternative for you.
Hard Gel
With the use of hard gel, Prose has found a cleaner and healthier alternative to acrylic. What’s great about hard gel is that structurally it cures with more flexibility, so you won’t have those hard, painful breaks that can sometimes happen with acrylics. Instead hard gel has flex and ‘give’ within the product, but is still durable (I like to think of it like bamboo, flexible, but still strong). It’s application process results in a gentler touch, so it’s nicer on your nails. You can still add tips or fix broken nails, just as you would with acrylics.
A Note About Nail Polish
Prose only carries polish lines that are free of the 7-21 most common toxic chemicals that are often found in nail products.

It’s very likely when you enter the salon, you’ll meet Abby! Abby helped launch Prose in Fargo and she’s committed to creating a great atmosphere for the team and the Prose guest. From curating a retail bar full of products from female-founded companies, to making sure you are happy and comfortable with your service, she’s at the heart of Prose service standards. Not only is she a huge believer in the Prose health and cleanliness philosophies, she’s also believes in building the right fit with her team, and puts time into understanding each artist’s personality, so they can all work together harmoniously.
Continuity in service and in quality, Prose’s Lead Artist, Sadie keeps the team up to date with training and artistry related needs. When Sadie’s not training, she’s busy helping clients achieve beautiful nails (find Sadie on Instagram at @nailtechsadie).
We Want You to Meet Lizzi
Lizzi has to be one of my favorite faces of the Prose group. She’s the kind of professional that’s going to make sure you enjoy your time in the salon and leave with a fantastic service. Lizzi started training with the Prose team before she finished school, joining Prose in their Apprenticeship program earlier this year.
Lizzi’s personality is fun and easygoing, and she’s always got great recommendations. She’s ready to help give you a great look, but also do what’s best for your nail growth in the long run. She loves the opportunity to talk with her guests and learn more about them (she comes from a big family so this comes natural to her), and thrives in an environment that gives her variety and change: nail trends and lots of service options mean no two days looks the same for Lizzi and she loves that about her job. When she’s not at the salon she enjoys spending time with her family and loves crafting. She’s a graduate of tSPA and is enjoying the industry so much, she’s considering adding aesthetics to her licensure list in the near future.

Pedicures at Prose
Prose’s pedicure area has a lovely, elegant design. And at prose, it’s not just about elegance, there’s a strategic reason you won’t see those clunky pedicure chairs at their salon: cleanliness standards. Those chairs you’ve grown so used to seeing have a series of jets in them that circulate the water, and after the prose team had time to evaluate different versions of them, they felt that those jet systems couldn’t ensure their cleanliness standards, so they brought back the classic bowl. Each pedicure still includes a great soak, without the hum from mechanical chairs. I’ve found that this change creates a quieter, more relaxing environment, where you aren’t shouting over noisy jets. The warm neck wrap is also a big help to finding your zen.
